Adams County

Adams County, Idaho is heavily forested, has many lakes and rivers, and is used for recreation by tens-of-thousands of people year round. Our neighboring counties, Valley, Idaho, Washington and Baker also offer year round recreation.  After you visit the county links, be sure to come back here and visit the municipalities of each county.

Adams County – Council and New Meadows, Idaho

Brundage and Tamarack Resorts are both well under a two hour drive from Council, which is the county seat of Adams County.  Campers and boaters enjoy over 2.3 million acres of Payette National Forest and BLM land.  Another major attraction is Hells Canyon National Recreation Area which sees over 500,000 tourists and vacationers a year.  Adams County covers approximately 1370 square miles with a population of about 3,800 residents.  We have access to all the recreational advantages and we’ve maintained the classiness of the small home town!  I can’t think of a better place to live.



Payetty County

Payette County, Idaho was established in 1917, with Payette as its county seat. It was named after the Payette River. Payette County offers recreation, shopping, dining, golfing and more! Neighboring counties, Washington, Malheur, Gem and Canyon offer endless recreation.  After you visit the county links, be sure to come back here and visit the municipalities of each county.

Payette County is the smallest county in land area in Idaho.  It only covers approximately 400 square miles with a population of about 22,600 residents.  



Washington County

Washington County, Idaho was established February 20, 1879, with Weiser as its county seat. It was named after the first president of the United States, George Washington. Cambridge is the gateway to Hells Canyon on the Snake River. Neighboring counties, Adams, Payette, Baker County, Malheur County also offer endless recreation.  After you visit the county links, be sure to come back here and visit the municipalities of each county.
